Oscars 2014

The Oscars 2014 was incredible, the A-listers pulled out all the stops and I was glued to the live red carpet coverage.  It’s exciting to hear who won what awards, but one thing on my mind was who everyone was wearing!

I loved so many of the looks this year Jennifer Lawrence wowed in a red peplum Dior silk gown, she looked effortlessly stunning. While Lupita Nyong'o turned heads in a custom made Prada dress in baby blue with a diamond head band she looked like a complete goddess.  Kate Hudson never fails to rock the red carpet, she dazzled in a silky metallic Versace Grecian style dress, and wow the fit was perfect.

My best dressed has to be Angelia Jolie she always looks out of this world, this year was no different she positively shimmered in her embellished couture Elie Saab gown. The dress was dripping in crystals and beading, she teamed her look with loosely curled hair and large diamond pendent drop earrings. She opted for smokey eyes, bronzed cheeks to define her amazing bone structure with a very light pink almost nude colour lip one word flawless.

The Oscars is over for one year, but now I'm getting excited for the Rodial Beautiful Awards next week. Lots of preparations this week.

The STEMCELL Super-food cleanser

Right now the STEMCELL Super-food range is doing my skin wonders. This range is all about feeding the skin, giving the skin the right ingredients it needs to glow! STEMCELL Super-food cleanser has become one of my essentials I couldn't live without.  Every woman needs a cleanser they can rely on, to cleanse and feed the skin with all the right nutrients.

Why STEMCELL Super-food cleanser?

Firstly the ingredients play a crucial part. There vitalising mix of super-foods, High tech Alp Rose Stem Cells and 3D Hyaluronic Filling Spheres are all key  to revealing younger looking skin. When I'm looking for a cleanser, I look for a solution that takes away the dead skin without damaging the skin. When I massage the Stemcell formula into my skin using the muslin cloth, it gently exfoliates enabling a youthful glowing complexion to shine through. I have also used this cleanser an a mask to detox my face, a thick layer left on the skin for 10-15 minutes will leave your skin silky soft. I am totally hooked. I'm always on the go it keeps my skin looking great.

Mary Katrantzou A/W 2014

Mary Katrantzou showcased her A/W collection on Sunday. I'm a huge fan of Mary’s designs and frequently wear her creations. Mary is famously known for her natural ability to make huge bold striking patterns work, teaming together colours and shapes not traditionally put together and somehow she makes it work, and we love it.

This season Mary has decided to make a few changes to her usual style and approach to designing, rightly so as the best designers experiment to break into new ground.  Mary experiments with monochrome this season and moves away from her bright colour palette. This collection still has injections of colour baby blue, deep red, forest green all feature throughout the collection.

The real unique and spectacular thing about this collection is the complex construction process used. Mary has used a number of technical processes including bonding, laminates and embossing. Her use of jersey in full length gowns as a platform for the embroidery is really clever and takes great skill.

I love this collection it shows a different spin to Mary Katrantzou's design ability and fashion design flair. Congratulations on a diverse new collection Mary!

Elle Style Awards 2014

The Elle style awards is always a glamorous event packed with endless stars. With everyone from the fashion and beauty industry present.Last night was no different with stars pulling out their best frocks and suits to hit the red carpet.

There is always an exciting buzz inside the awards, cocktails and champagne are non-stop. My best dressed star was Suki Waterhouse who bagged The Model of the year award. She dazzled in a floor length Burberry panel dress, looking sexy but understated. Her make-up was flawless with smokey black eyes, dusted pink check bones and soft pink lips.

It was a great night, I can’t wait for next year!

Henry Holland LFW

On Saturday I was lucky enough to attend Henry Holland’s A/W 2014 collection. The collection was called "Debauched Debutantes" resembling the 1989 house scene look.  His collection was spectacularly loud and vibrant as always. The collection featured full metallic skirts, quilted sequin jackets, structured full collars and injections of his signature prints. Lots of the pieces where bold and most defiantly made a statement.

My favourite look was the Metallic blue trousers; Henry teamed them with a long quilted style bomber jacket.  I love this look as it’s very glamorous but also very wearable. Very well done Henry, another triumph. The whole collection is original, bold and glamorous.

Julian Macdonald A/W Fashion Show

Julien Macdonald’s show was fabulous, and did not disappoint. The endless different style dresses Julien included were extremely impressive. Each dress was very unique and the show was a pleasure to watch. The models looked incredible with their hair pulled back into a messy ponytail, so all eyes were on the dresses. The collection included a number of different style dresses mini, floor length, one shoulder, thigh high splits and geometric panelling where used frequently. One thing all the dresses had in common they where dripping –with-beading and metallic embroidery. The amount of work man-ship that went into this collection was clear.

It’s hard to choose my favourite dress as I truly loved the whole collection. But I think it will have to be this dress. I love the shape;classic fitted to the knee, with sheer panelling through the front, heavy black and silver embroidery mirroring fragments of broken glass and crystallizing ice.

I cannot wait to see some of Julien’s creations on the red carpet I don’t think it will take long, with the Oscars coming up.

Victoria Beckham NYFW

New York fashion week is now in full swing, we have seen some incredible pieces walk the runway so far. I have fallen in love with Victoria Beckham’s A/W 2014 collection. The collection still screams her classic style but she has moved away from her signature fitted dresses and introduced some bold shapes. Cocoon jackets, ruffled tunics and body-swamping gilets are my favourite looks. Trousers also made a strong showing in loose,below-the-knee versions, a shape I have loved this season.

One front row outfit on everyone’s minds was Harper Beckham. She looked adorable sitting on David’s lap in a pleated green shift dress. I can’t wait for London Fashion Week to kick off so I can start planning my wardrobe essentials!
